The School-Age Program at Malmstrom Youth offers before and after school care. Enrichment activities are provided in an open and fun atmosphere. Activities include: arts & crafts, computers, dramatic play, outdoor recreation and more. Homework assistance is available. The program is accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA) and is available to youth in grades K-6. The staff is highly qualified, enthusiastic and committed to providing a safe, healthy and nurturing environment to meet the individual developmental needs of children. Participants are provided USDA approved meals and snacks. Transportation is provided to and from the following schools only: Loy, Lewis & Clark, Chief Joseph, and Morningside at an additional cost. You may choose to enroll in the before school, after school or before and after school sessions.

The daily schedule is as follows:

6:30 a.m. - Building opens/program begins
6:30 to 7:45 a.m. - Activity areas open.
6:45 to 7:45 a.m. - Breakfast served.
7:45 to 7:55 a.m. - Get ready to depart for school.
7:55 a.m. - Depart for school.
3 p.m. - Pick-up at schools start. *2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays
3:45 to 4:45 p.m. - Snack served.
3:45 to 5:30 p.m. - Activity areas open, group activities scheduled. *3:15 p.m. on Wednesdays
5:30 p.m. - Programs ends.

Registration Information

The following materials are needed from parents/guardians in order to be registered:

  • AF Form 1181, Air Force Youth Program Patron Registration
  • AF Form 88, AF Youth Programs Registration
  • AF Form 357 (if single parent or dual military)
  • DD Form 2652, Application for DoD Child Care Fees
  • Current shot record
  • Copy of most current LES &/or pay stubs
  • Release forms
  • Signed School-Age Program (SAP) Parent Information & Agreement Form
