Ceramics Classes

The ceramics shop is equipped with hundreds of molds, paint and ceramic supplies for you to choose from.

Basic Ceramics
Thursdays, Aug. 21 & 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Learn about cleaning and glazing ceramics pieces.
Cost: $5 per class

Craft Classes

Jewelry Making Class
Every Tuesday and Thursday in August, from 6 to 8 pm
Learn to make beautiful jewelry; choose from necklaces, earrings or bracelets.
Cost: $10 per student for instruction, per class. Student must purchase materials, instructor will advise students on what to purchase at first class. Please - no children under 14 years old.

Stamping Class
Thursday, Aug. 21, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 6 to 8 pm
No more hunting down that perfect card in the drugstore or supermarket - now, you can make your own.
Cost: $10 per student, some materials provided.

Ornament Making Class
Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Learn to make wood, ceramic, and craft material ornaments for any occasion. Samples will be provided.
Cost: $5 per student plus materials.

Cake Decorating Class
Every Thursday in August, from 6 to 8 pm
Every Saturday in August, from noon to 2 pm
This is a four week class designed for beginner decorating. You will learn to use decorating tools, how to make butter cream icing and how to fill and frost cakes.
Cost: $20.00 per student plus materials

Pottery Wheel Class
Thursdays starting Aug. 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
This is a six-session class for beginners and advanced pottery. Come out and enjoy this very relaxing art. Participant must purchase clay.
Cost: $60 per student. Limited to 3 students.

Crocheting and Knitting Class
Every Tuesday in August, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Learning how to crochet requires little more than a few simple stitches; soon you’ll be able to make a soft bright baby blanket or a warm scarf.
Cost: $10 per student for instruction and materials for first class; $5 for other sessions.

Scrapbooking Class
Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Learn new ideas to make creative, beautiful, and touching scrapbook pages.
Cost: $5 per person for instruction and some materials.

Youth Pottery
Every Tuesday and Thursday in August, from 2 to 4 pm
This will be a two-day class for 10 year olds and above. This class will give them the opportunity to try and throw some clay on the pottery wheel.
Cost: $15 per student; limit 3 per class.

Stained Glass Class
Tuesdays, Aug. 5, 12 & 19, from 6 to 8 pm
This is a 3-session class designed for beginners. Learn to use glass cutting tools, a soldering iron and a glass grinder.
Cost: $35 per person; some materials provided.

Woodworking Classes

The wood shop is stocked with a variety of woodworking equipment to suit any of your project needs. The following classes are for ages 16 and up.

Intermediate Woodworking
Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 12, 14, 19 & 21, from 6 to 8:30 pm
Learn more advanced patterns, such as a flower box or an Adirondack chair in this four-evening class.
Cost: $25 per person, plus materials.

Framing Classes

Our custom framing presentation and mounting of posters, shadowboxes, stitchery, and photographs meet the demands of professionals.

Basic Framing
Every Tuesday & Thursday in August, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Learn how to cut a double matt, how to cut glass and a wooden frame to size, how to pick matting colors and how to measure pictures.
Cost: $25 plus materials. (Talk to Paul)

Do-It-Yourself Framing
Shop use fee is $2 an hour. Shop users must have a current qualification card to use the equipment.

Kid’s Classes

Children’s Ceramics
Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10:30 am to noon
Children learn how to clean, stain and antique greenware. More advanced students can also learn glazing and under glazing, as well as dry brushing.
Cost: $10 per child, all materials provided.

Home School Ceramics and Crafts Class
Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 10 am to noon
Learn a new craft or make a ceramic project.
Cost: $5 per student for instruction and materials.
